How to Use the App
Connect Your Wallet
Click "Connect Wallet" in the header and choose your preferred wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.). Your wallet address will be your chat identity.
Don't have a wallet yet? Install MetaMask — the most popular Web3 wallet for browsers and mobile.
Navigate to Chats
Go to the "Chats" page from the navigation menu. You'll see a list of online users currently connected to the app.
Select a User
Click on any online user's wallet address to open a chat. You'll see their messages and have the option to request a chat connection.
Request or Accept Chat
Click "Request Chat" to send a connection request. When someone requests to chat with you, you'll see "Accept" or "Reject" buttons. Accept to establish a secure P2P connection.
Start Chatting!
Once connected, type your message in the input box and hit send. Your messages are sent directly to the other user via WebRTC - completely private and instant!
⚠️ Important Notes
- Messages are ephemeral: Messages exist only during your session and are not saved. Close the browser or refresh the page and they're gone.
- Both users must be online: Since this is P2P, both users need to be online and connected simultaneously to chat.
- No message history: There's no server storing your messages. This ensures maximum privacy but means no chat history after you close the app.
- Real-time only: You can only chat with users who are currently online and connected to the app.
